I recently started working for a school and have all summer off with my 2 kids who are 8 (boy) and 10 (girl). I’m looking for a vacation spot within a day or two drive of the Denver area. We have already been to the mountain resorts and local spots many times and are looking for something fun that is a little further away.

We enjoy sightseeing, the outdoors and educational experiences but don’t have any camping equipment (and really don’t want to buy it). Any suggestions or experiences to share?

I went to a timeshare presentation and in the end I received a couple voucher’s to send for two trips, both paying airfare and hotel stay.
I am in need of some money. Can I sell them? Will I, or whoever buys that from me, be in trouble?
Thanks.

Since my plans for a surf trip to Costa Rica fell through – I want to plan a trip to Baja Mexico sometime in the Mar-May time frame. I have done little to no research so far so I’m not sure whether northern or souther baja might be better. I’m thinking northern since I can drive there (i live in socal) but I’d like to hear from others who’ve been. Is it safe to drive? What should I bring? What should I avoid? Good spots. I won’t be bringing a ton of friends and we are respectful of wherever we go. We don’t litter and we don’t wave hog – it’s all about sharing.

I plan on buying a book but would like to hear recommendations. Any help would be appreciated!

I realize that getting cheap airfare is one thing, but getting the best deal possible is another.

Please answer if you can help me, because I’ve already heard from my share of naysayers who say just to give up my dream of going to Spain, I’ve wanted to go all my life and have my heart set on it.
If you can really help me I will be so, so very thankful.

I’ve always dreamt of going to Spain, and I have planned to go this spring, at the end of April, to study. I work full-time, I’m saving my money and I’ve arranged to get time off from work.

The problem of course is airfare. I’ve already begun searching for flights and researching deals (SoYouWanna.com is a good site, btw), but I would like to hear from anyone who can give me tips or advice on how to get the best deal possible.

If I am planning on going at the end of April, and the beginning of May, when is the best time to BUY the ticket?

Is it always possible to change dates?

Is it better to buy the ticket through a travel agent?

Any other tips, or advice?

Mil gracias :) !!!!

I bought cupcakes at Sprinkles to share with my family. I’m flying home tom. and will have them in my carry on. I checked the TSA website to see if I could bring them and it said as follows: Note: You can bring pies and cakes through the security checkpoint, but please be advised that they are subject to additional screening.

What does this mean? I don’t have time for any b.s. at the airport. Has anyone brought cakes/pies with them through security? Thanks so much for your time!
